'Hi Family, Watch me utilize the Melt Cosmetics Gemini palette to achieve a brown smokey eye with caramel tones and a subtle 1970\'s feel. I was inspired by the amber brown lusciousness of homemade caramel sauce, a versatile favorite of mine. I love it mixed with coffee or drizzled on sliced apples. The addition of the salt and chai puts this recipe over the edge. I may have eaten it right out of the jar. It inspired this entire look, which I kept monochromatic on the eyes lips and cheeks, and even show you how to amp it up with a little glossy action at the end. ►Do you prefer the matte or glossy look? ►What food or color story would you like to see in my next tutorial? ►Let me know in the comments below! xX Arin ►Where else to find me IG: @arin_emiko ►References: Lash application technique: CC Fatima Thomas, Senior MAC artist IG: @fatimasees ►Chai Caramel Sauce Recipe - adapted from livelifesugar.com 1 C White Sugar 6 T Unsalted Butter, Cubed 3/4 C Heavy Cream 1 t Salt 2 t Chai Masala 1.Pour sugar into an even layer in a large saucier pan. 2. Heat on medium-high heat, whisking the sugar until melted. The sugar will clump up first, but will eventually completely melt. This will take about 10 minutes. 3. Once the sugar has melted, stop whisking. You can allow to cook until the sugar has turned to a little darker amber color to get a deeper caramel flavor, if you like. You may notice a nutty aroma. The change in color will happen quickly, so don’t let it go too long or get too dark or it’ll burn. Remove caramel from the heat. 4. Add butter and whisk until combined. The mixture will bubble up, but keep whisking until all the butter has melted and combined. 5. Slowly pour the heavy cream into the caramel and whisk until incorporated. I find it can help to add just a bit at a time until the caramel starts to thin out, then you can add the rest. 6. Whisk in Salt and Chai Masala 7. Cool for about 10-15 minutes before using. Store leftovers in a jar with a lid. Refrigerate up to 2 weeks. 1 ►Music Credit: GREGORY DAVID Track Name: \"Shades of Purple\" Epidemicsound.com 2 ► Music Credit: LAKEY INSPIRED Track Name: \"All I Need\" Music By: LAKEY INSPIRED @ https://soundcloud.com/lakeyinspired Original release HERE - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QH04X...
